Beginner’s Skill Clinic - 2026 Part 2

We are here to help you improve your trail riding game.

The Club is hosting a 2-Part Beginner Skills Clinic over 2 weekday evenings in June. Part 1 is on Jun 2 and Part 2 is on Jun 9.

Who can sign up?

  • You need to be a WMBC Member to participate. Join Now!

  • You need to be 14 or older.

  • Class size is limited to 18 riders and all others will be placed on a waitlist.

  • This Clinic is for New, Beginner and Novice riders.

    • You are comfortable riding on pavement, but mountain biking is new to you. You have just started riding a mountain bike, but have not ridden on a trail

    • You have done some off-road trail riding, and mainly ride the wider double-track trails. You are not comfortable on narrow single-track trails with roots, rocks and curves. You walk around difficult sections and on steeper up & down hills.

Why is there Part 1 and Part 2?

  • The Full Beginner Clinic is 5 hours

  • To get the Full Clinic, you need to show up for two sessions.

  • You need to take Part 1 first, as Part 2 builds off of the skills learned in Part 1.

Cost

  • Free for Club Members and you need to be a WMBC to take part in the clinic. Join now!

Where is it?

  • The Clinics are held at the Walden Trails at 1 Denis Ave, Naughton, ON

When is it?

  • Part 1 of the Clinic is held on Tuesday June 2

  • Part 2 of the Clinic is held on Thursday June 9.

  • The Clinics run from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm

  • Please be ready to ride at 6 pm to sort participants into groups and be prepared to begin instruction promptly at 6:30 pm

What do I Bring?

  • Mountain bike in good working order

  • Helmet (mandatory)

  • Water bottle (consider additional water if it will be warm)

  • Snack

  • Clothing appropriate for the weather
